Scott

Q: What's one hope you have for 2012?
A: I hope there will be less violence in the world; and that people would solve their problems by building relationships and dialogue with other people and with their communities.

Q: What's something you're glad to leave behind in 2011?
A: I've made some good decisions and I'm glad I made them. I've made more room to do sports psychology work that's inspiring and stimulating.

Q: If you could offer a newborn baby one piece of advice, what would it be?
A: As you grow, and start to think of who you are in the world, find ways to pay more attention to the voices that believe in you, support you and love you, and ways to ignore the voices that call you down, diminish you and encourage you to second-guess yourself.

A: My hair colour.

Q: What's something you find hard about the holidays?
A: Christmas music. I hate it, you hear the same three songs over and over.

Q: If you had a million dollars to give away, who would you give it to and why?
A: I'd give my parents enough to retire, and give the rest to my family. I'd want to know where the money was going.

Adam

Q: What's one thing you would never change about yourself?
A: My family.

Q: What's something you find hard about the holidays?
A: Buying gifts.

Q: If you had a million dollars to give away, who would you give it to and why?

Q: What's one thing you would never change about yourself?
A: My culture. (I'm from Sudan.) There are values in my culture that I would never go against.

Q: What's something you find hard about the holidays?
A: In Canada, Christmas is a good holiday for people to be with their families, but I will be alone. At home in Sudan they dance a lot at Christmas, but not here. I'll be watching movies instead.

Q: If you had a million dollars to give away, who would you give it to and why?
A: I'd give it to Unicef. They helped to raise me when I was young.

Linda

Q: What's one thing you would never change about yourself?
A: My personality. You've got to be your self.

Q: What's something you find hard about the holidays?
A: The commercialization.

Q: If you had a million dollars to give away, who would you give it to and why?
A: I'd give it to the Children's Wish Foundation, because the kids don't deserve what they've got.

Nicky

Q: What's one thing you would never change about yourself?
A: At one time it would have been my hair colour. I had beautiful, chestnut brown hair. Now - I would say my faith, my spirituality. It's the only thing that hasn't changed, it's only deepened over time.

Q: What's something you find hard about the holidays?
A: I hate the holidays. I haven't put up a tree in five years. People get lost in the commercialization, we're forgetting the true meaning.

Q: If you had a million dollars to give away, who would you give it to and why?
A: I'd give it to myself, so I could be relieved of the pressure of the finances. And then I'd branch out to the family, but I'd be picky about who I gave it to.

Kyle

Q: What's one thing you would never change about yourself?
A: How caring I am. (And how generally awesome I am.)

Q: What's something you find hard about the holidays?
A: How everyone's all stressed out all the time, preparing for stuff.

Q: If you had a million dollars to give away, who would you give it to and why?
A: I'd give most of it to my parents, because they've done a lot for me and I'd like to be able to pay them back.

Rebecca

Q: What's one thing you would never change about yourself?
A: That I can find humour in almost anything.

Q: What's something you find hard about the holidays?
A: Everybody being in each others' space.

Q: If you had a million dollars to give away, who would you give it to and why?
A: I'd take my whole family on a trip, to Europe or Hawaii.

A: My upbringing.

Q: What's something you find hard about the holidays?
A: I hate Christmas.

Q: If you had a million dollars to give away, who would you give it to and why?
A: I'd give it to Doctors Without Borders.

Scott

Q: What's one thing you'd never change about yourself?
A: My sense of humour, even in serious situations.

Q: What's something you find hard about the holidays?
A: The anniversary of my dad's death is on Christmas Day.

Q: If you had a million dollars to give away, who would you give it to and why?
A: I'd build an arena that would have free programming for inner-city kids.

Jesse

Q: What's one thing you would never change about yourself?
A: My sense of humour.

Q: What's something you find hard about the holidays?
A: Family dysfunction.

Q: If you had a million dollars to give away, who would you give it to and why?
A: I'd give it to my girlfriend Jen so she could do whatever she wants with it, and so that she won't be stressed about money anymore.

Malaikah

Q: What's one thing you would never change about yourself?
A: My childlike innocence. My sister thinks I'm naive, and I probably trust too much sometimes, but I would never want to get rid of my positive outlook on life.

Q: What's something you find hard about the holidays?
A: I'm away from my family for the first time this Christmas. They are all in Dubai right now. I'll probably go to a friend's for Christmas.

Q: If you had a million dollars to give away, who would you give it to and why?
A: I'd give it to my parents. They're in the middle of going through bankruptcy after investing a lot of money with a con artist.

Gloria

Q: What's one thing you would never change about yourself?
A: I wouldn't change anything. My appearance, my behaviour, I'm happy with it all.

Q: What's something you find hard about the holidays?
A: Too many people. I have a big family, all of my brothers and sisters are here in Winnipeg and they all come over to my place for the holidays.

Q: If you had a million dollars to give away, who would you give it to and why?
A: I'd give it to my brother because he has kidney failure. I want him to get the best treatment possible.
